Fiddlin John Carson


One of the few solo fiddlers that was recorded that didn’t just play instrumentals. Recorded 1920-1930  so you know the sound quality is bad but he shines through  he was crown “Georgia Old-Time Fiddlers’ Convention” for 7 years he plays a lot of non-commercialize old time as a solo fiddler. he recordings are a rare type because they don’t have accompaniment(most of the time) His nickname “fiddling” came from the Governor Tennessee at in 1919.
